The pleasant walk to the dairy takes approximately 40 minutes. The Alm is the regon's second largest and lies at an altitude of 1440 metres.
Walkers can enjoy marvelous views of the Hohe Salve, Wilder Kaiser and Kitzbühel Alps. Enjoy a taste of the delicious dairy products on offer.
18 farmers send their livestock up onto the high pastures during the summer, a total of 150 animals. The barn buildings are amongst the most modern in Tirol.
Cheese from the Käse Alm regularly wins prizes at the various competitions and can be bought either directly from the dairy or in the Kaskeller in Niederau every Friday from 4 - 6 pm and every Saturday from 9 am - 12 pm.
Popular walks from the Käse Alm are the Feldalphorn or Schweigberghorn, Horler Stiege with it's tiny wooden chapel or over the Halsgatterl to the Rosskopf.
