Your enchanting journey of discovery begins right at the Reitherkogelbahn mountain station. Various exciting, natural play stations await you along the buggy-friendly loop trail which, in addition to fun and games, also guarantee that your kids will have a good night’s sleep. While the little ones enter a magical world by the magic tree or in the haunted marsh, you can relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air and alpine panorama on one of the loungers. Now that’s how glorious a break in the Alpbachtal can be!

Opening times: Juppi’s Enchanted Forest is open during the operating hours of the Reitherkogelbahn from May to October. Please note: it is closed on Wednesdays.

Tip: Admission to the Enchanted Forest is included in the price of the gondola ride. Should you be staying overnight in the region, however, you will receive the Alpbachtal Card when you check into your accommodation. The card includes plenty of discounts and services, such as free use of the Reitherkogelbahn.

The highlights of Juppi’s Enchanted Forest

We don't want to promise too much, but we regularly hear reports of spellbound children.

They are said to leave Juppi’s Enchanted Forest in a conspicuously good mood and manner. The reasons are not known to us, but may have something to do with the following highlights:

  • a fire station play area
  • an enchanted village with lots of play stations
  • a wobbly bridge
  • a fun magic tree
  • a haunted marsh with a mystical wooden wizard
  • a bird’s nest swing
  • a giant photo frame for selfies with a view of the Alpbachtal
  • Juppi’s Enchanted Forest puzzle
  • a petting zoo
  • swing bowling
  • a barefoot path
  • Juppi’s water games

On a journey of discovery through Juppi’s Enchanted Forest

Tip: The leisurely circular hike becomes even more fun with our treasure map. You will find all the play stations and best spots on it, such as our spectacular viewing platforms. The kids can collect stamps at each station and there is a small surprise present from just four stamps. You can pick up the map and present at the valley station, your accommodation or in the Alpbachtal tourist offices.

Buggy-friendly loop trail on the Reither Kogel

After the excitement of the Enchanted Forest, the circular hiking trail to the Reither Kogel offers you all the chance to wind down.

Past the haunted marsh, you begin the approximately 1.5 hour hike to the summit. The partly paved roads and gravel paths are ideal for giving your little ones their first summit experience. After you have passed the "giant's bench", viewing platforms await you with wonderful panoramas of the Alps. The path also leads you to our popular photo frame, perfect for capturing family memories of the Alpbachtal.

Good to know: There are no mountain huts to stop at for refreshments along the trail, but you will find several picnic areas with tables and benches. You can then look forward to a hearty meal at Liftcafé Heisn at the valley station. While you relax on the lovely sun terrace, the kids can let off any remaining steam in the children's playground.
